Artist Bio

Alexandra Farmer is an artist from Birmingham living and working in Nottingham. She is in her final year studying BA (Hons) Fine Art at Nottingham Trent university.

Working in the past with a wide range of mediums including textile, casting and paining; her practice now mainly focuses on photography, and she also has an interest in small handmade publications. 

Nan Goldin said that her work “is the diary I let people read.” This is something that Alex feels accurately describes her own work, as it is directly influenced by her life. Particularly interested in the intimate moments between her and her romantic partners, Alex photographs this in the spur of the moment.
